This image is a little misleading.... this pile of "sand" was about an inch deep and several inches in diameter. I stepped out of my truck tuesday morning and thought - golly, who dumped so much dirt in the office parking lot.... then i realized, it was the armpit that had washed off my truck and ran down the tires on Friday.... sad.....

In doing this project and in thinking about the photos - I different approaches, depending on the day and my mood. I either take a picture of anything, just to satisfy my quota, or I take a picture of something that I deem "photoworthy or picturesque" OR more often I try to actually use a picture that captures the mood of that day... something that when I look back at these pictures a year from now I can tell by the photo - what the day was and what was going on. Above is our tiny little inaguration watch party that we had in our office today.... I feel the photo (while not particularly good - i blame shitty office light) captures the spirit of today.

In that same vein... The photograph below is one I couldn't help but take...

Like learning to stop and smell the roses... maybe this "must take a picture a day thing" will have lessons, like when you see an old barn in the perfect setting sunlight - it's okay to turn the car around drive back down the little road and actually capture that moment.
